The Cryptide is a 3D-printed sneaker that blurs the line between reality and legend. Named after cryptids—creatures whose existence is unproven yet persist in folklore—it embodies the mystery of the unknown. This 30-second film unravels a digital expedition to uncover its existence. But the question remains: Is it real?

The film is structured as a search. Blurry, distorted imagery, AI scans and tracking symbols suggest scientific discovery, and dark silhouettes deepen the mystery. Each glimpse conceals as much as it reveals, leaving the audience questioning whether The Cryptide is an artifact, a relic, or a beautifully crafted illusion.
The sound is built around a track by the band Troum, an atmospheric composition that sets the tone. We added voiceovers from old documentaries about cryptids like Loch Ness and Bigfoot, reinforcing the theme of mystery. Musician Patrick Puszko then contributed additional sound elements and design, shaping the final experience.
